I am the most commonly asked-for employee by name at my place of business. My regulars know me from my position two promotions ago. I have explained Wi-Fi to people unfamiliar with e-mail, dismissed threats of bodily assault with a smile, and stopped children from running on escalators – all in the same day. It’s a running joke with my co-workers that, if a customer begins explaining how a nice young gentleman helped them the other day, they can guess it’s probably me.

People sometimes ask why I always seem happy at work, and it’s because I genuinely like working with people. My managerial experience also reflects my talents and preferences.
