I first started operating independently hosted websites around 2008 and currently operate four separate domains. I am familiar with CSS and HTML.

You may have noticed that this website is a WordPress blog with a custom theme, which requires neither of the above. I am strongly of the opinion that there is no need to re-invent the wheel, and will gladly use properly licensed existing software to save myself and others time and money.

For instance, this domain is hosted on a server that I already paid for. This theme was part of a package I already licensed. The total cost to me of operating this particular website is about ten dollars a year.

I value practicality and speed so long as they do not impact the product or its effectiveness. I made this website as well and as fast and as cheaply as I could.
